Tequila, Jalisco. Its name comes from the Nahuatl word “Tecuilan” What does it mean “place of tributes”. The handicrafts that are produced in the municipality allude to the agave and the production of tequila. Clay objects are also made.
The Tequila Museum offers a complete exhibition on the history and technique of making the famous drink, as well as a collection of bottles.
You will visit a distiller where you will be able to learn about the process of making tequila, we will also visit the oldest aging cellar on the route and an incredible underground chapel.
We will visit the agave fields where you will see the agave harvest (Jima) and you will be able to do it yourself.
